Roisin Lyng

Roisin completed her undergraduate studies in Law at the University of Ulster in 2007. Roisin then worked at Pearts Solicitors, Ireland leading provider of Dublin Legal Agency services.

In 2011 Roisin relocated to Melbourne, Australia and joined Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, Australia’s number one plaintiff law firm. Following further studies at the University of Sydney and a post graduate diploma in legal practice, Roisin was admitted to practice in Australia. Roisin spent ten years in the Class Actions department at Maurice Blackburn. During that time, she worked on a number of class actions including the Bonsoy Class Action, which settled for $25 million and compensated almost 500 group members who suffered serious health consequences as a result of dangerous levels of iodine in Bonsoy from a seaweed product in the milk. Roisin also worked on Kilmore and Murrindindi bushfire class action settlement administrations. Together, these settlement administrations involved the assessment of approximately 15,000 personal injury and economic loss & property damage claims and the distribution of over $700 million of compensation to bushfire survivors.

In December 2021 Roisin joined Claims Funding Europe and Claims Funding International as a Director and Senior Investment Manager.
